Joe D. Clark

President

Value Delivered

Joe oversees the company's ability to deliver single-source solutions that enable clients to achieve optimum operation, increased cost effectiveness and long-term value. Since becoming president in 1999, he has managed all of the company's major transformations. These include the Fred B. DeBra Company's merger into EMCOR, as well as the formation of DeBra-Kuempel with the 2002 acquisition of Kuempel Services. These activities along with his ability to successfully manage the firm's strategic direction, consistently ensure operational excellence and continuously improve financial performance have resulted in the company's current position as the region's largest full-service mechanical and electrical firm.

Expertise

Joe began his career over 27 years ago as an estimator and project manager with the Fred B. DeBra Company. During his first 15 years, he directed the field technicians and office staff, training and supervising them to provide service that consistently exceeded customers' expectations. In 1994, the company promoted him to vice president. In this position, he led the firm's ongoing business development efforts by expanding the service department and creating an industrial division. At the same time, he personally managed and coordinated construction projects valued at up to $3 million. He also handled contract negotiations and monitored the firm's financial position. And he implemented a safety program that brought the company into compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Administration's Hazardous Communication Act (HAZCOM) and the Environmental Protection Agency's SARA Title III environmental protection programs.

A member of the Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA), Joe holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton.
