Value Delivered
Marshall oversees DeBra-Kuempel’s industrial market business, ensuring that clients get the equipment and systems they need for consistently world-class performance, energy efficiency and value. His responsibilities cover the entire range of company services from proposal development to service delivery and project completion. In addition to estimating and project managing industrial projects, he maintains the company’s quality assurance program for welding, including the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) "PP" and National Board "R" stamp programs. Furthermore, as author of the company’s business continuity plan, he has established policies to ensure that DeBra-Kuempel can respond to major disasters with the same expert services and project quality that have made it an industry leader.
Expertise
Marshall has more than 30 years of project and labor management experience. His DeBra-Kuempel career began in 1979 as a pipefitter on HVAC and process piping projects. In 1983, he was promoted to pipe fabrication superintendent with responsibility for the layout and fabrication of piping spools. Thanks to his leadership, the company today self-performs 75 percent of the welds for typical installations. In 1993, he began overseeing the firm’s ASME "PP" and National Board "R" stamp programs. Named to his current position in 2001, his clients have included AK Steel, North American Stainless and the University of Cincinnati.
In addition to attending Ohio College of Applied Science and Raymond Walters College, Marshall has completed a four-year program at the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society and a four-year apprenticeship through Pipefitters Local Union 392. He has also completed a five-year United Association Instructors Training Program at Washtenaw Community College.
Marshall holds a Kentucky #013 boiler license and an Ohio plumbing-hydronics license. He has also earned OSHA 10- and 30-hour training certificates. His professional memberships include the American Welding Society, American Iron’s Steel Institute, the National Fire Prevention Association and the National Certified Welding Bureau.
